Promoted Dec. 8, 2008, under Grandmaster J. Pat Burleson to 9th degree black belt, Mr. Hayes has 31 years experience as a black belt instructor in American Karate.
American Karate components are:
12 pre-arranged moves designed to bend, stretch and strengthen the body and at the same time give you knowledge of self protection.
Basic Karate moves for health and a way to a better mind/body connection regardless of age or gender.
Katas are put together by combining the basic movements. Katas are pre-arranged moves, simulating fighting against multiple attackers.
Kickboxing/Light Punching, kicking, sweeping and throwing
Contact Sparring: movements with a partner.
Basic 6 Count: Karate techniques performed to the rhythm of the count.
Kendo, meaning the Way of the Sword, is the Japanese art of sport sword play. By practicing Kendo, Mr. Hayes emphasizes the mental and physical aspects of the Martial Arts that builds both the mind and body.
Masters Hall of Fame
The Masters Hall of Fame recognizes, develops, enhances and improves Martial Arts Leaders and Businesses by Developing and Recognizing Excellence in Martial Arts Communities. In 2012 Mr. Hayes was inducted into the Masters Hall of Fame. When you're training at One on One Training, you will be working with a hall of fame martial arts master.
